Blasting below the water table endangers Ontario’s drinking water and the headwaters of three major river systems. The science is clear—even Strada’s own reports show that water flow could be reduced by 35 to 50%. I will use every tool available at the municipal level to protect our headwaters, now and in the future.
We need action to ensure the safety of our communities. I will ensure that speed-calming measures come to Corbetton and continue to look for new ways to protect our community.
We need to balance our tax burden with the services we need, while focusing on growth that will continue to make Melancthon one of the best places in Ontario to live. That means supporting small businesses and agriculture, while investing in beautification projects for our parks and public lands.
