It's time to get it done!

A little bit about me

There's a lot I could tell you about myself. That I've lived in Melancthon for more than 38 years. That one of my kids live in Corbetton, and that I'm a mom, a wife, and a Nana. I could tell you about my years of giving back — the Horning's Mills board, the co-op nursery school, the milk board at CHES, the Honeywood Minor Hockey board, and more. But what I really want to tell you is that I love this place. Home, to me, means a place where everyone belongs, where generations can make memories, and where the community comes together, whether it's for a pancake breakfast or to fight a quarry.

This place matters. And it matters to me.

A few years ago, I wouldn’t have pictured myself running for council. I certainly wasn’t thinking about becoming mayor. Over the last few years, I’ve learned everything I could about municipal law and built relationships across the province—with the Ministry of the Environment and with groups like the Headwaters Community Coalition and the Watershed Guardians of Dufferin County. Something has changed for me. I now see all the things we could and should be doing.

I believe we're not doing enough. From opposing the quarry to road safety, it's not about trusting the process. It's about navigating it, and, if we have to, changing it.

Lastly, I want you to know that I also want to hear from you. Email me. Call me. What matters to you? What do you think we need more of, and what do you want to see accomplished in the next four years?

Whatever it is, it's time to get it done — and I believe I'm the right mayor to help us do that, together.
